UNBOUND 2026: what HubSpot launched in Boston and what it means for you

In mid September more than 14,000 people gathered in Boston for HubSpot's big annual conference. But it was no longer called INBOUND. After 15 years, HubSpot renamed the event UNBOUND, and the name change says a lot about where the platform is heading.
In short: At UNBOUND 2026, held September 16 to 18 in Boston, HubSpot renamed its INBOUND conference and launched Fall 2026 Spotlight. The focus was Growth Context: Context Home, a rebuilt Breeze Assistant, Agent Hub with eight AI agents, a self updating Smart CRM, a new Marketing Studio, Revenue Hub and a ChatGPT Ads integration.
I have gone through the launches from Fall 2026 Spotlight, the keynotes and what the sharpest HubSpot agencies wrote afterwards. Here is what matters most, and above all what it means for B2B companies already running HubSpot or considering it.
Why INBOUND became UNBOUND
INBOUND was tied to a specific method: attract customers with content instead of chasing them. That method lives on, but HubSpot argues that growth today is about far more channels, ways of working and technology than that. The name UNBOUND is meant to signal exactly that, not being locked into old playbooks.
For you as a customer, it is a sign that HubSpot no longer sees itself as a marketing tool with a CRM on the side. It positions itself as a complete platform where AI is the working layer itself.
The big theme: Growth Context
If you had to sum up the whole release in one term, it would be Growth Context. The idea is simple: AI models come and go, but the knowledge about your company, your customers and your team that you build up in HubSpot stays and becomes more valuable over time.
HubSpot highlighted a survey of 6,000 customers and prospects where 90 percent say they use AI, but only 6 percent feel it has delivered transformative results. According to HubSpot, that group is four times more likely to hit its revenue targets. The difference is not which tool you use, but how good the input the AI gets to work with is.
Generic context gives generic results. That is the core of the whole message.
The most important launches
Context Home
A new unified place where the portal stores what it knows about your company: brand, products, market, ICP and personas, team roles and tone of voice, plus your own documents and knowledge banks. Context Home also shows a score for how complete your context is and where the gaps are. All AI features in HubSpot read from here. Read more in our guide to Context Home.
A Breeze Assistant that actually does things
The assistant has been rebuilt and no longer just answers questions. It can create suggestions, reports, campaign plans and automations for you, based on the data in your CRM.
Agent Hub and eight agents
Agent Hub becomes the control room where you see, activate and monitor all agents in the portal. The agents include Prospecting Agent, Deal Progression, Customer Agent, Campaign Agent, Content Agent, Nurture Agent, Data Agent and a brand new Revenue Agent that follows up unpaid invoices. Several of them are in public beta. We go through all agents in AI agents in HubSpot: how to get started.
A Smart CRM that updates itself
Calls, emails and meetings are captured and synced automatically, and transcripts can fill in CRM fields that the rep then approves. Standard data enrichment is now also included in Smart CRM.
Marketing Studio and HubSpot Work
Marketing Studio has been completely rebuilt and reads your brand, your ICP and past campaign results before it suggests and creates content. HubSpot Work is a new AI first workspace for projects, documents and tables on top of the CRM data. It is still in beta and will become a paid product.
Revenue Hub
Quotes, contracts and CPQ are gathered in Revenue Hub, where quotes can be generated automatically based on the full history of the deal.
ChatGPT Ads and a deeper partnership with OpenAI
HubSpot is the first CRM vendor with a ChatGPT Ads integration. You can build and follow up ads in ChatGPT directly from HubSpot and connect deals back to the campaign. HubSpot's connector in ChatGPT was also updated. Read more in From SEO to AEO.
Breeze as a name is going away
Breeze as an umbrella brand is being retired. Breeze Assistant keeps its name, Breeze Agents becomes Agent Hub and Breeze Studio becomes Agent Builder. Nothing is switched off in the portal, but documentation and training materials that talk about Breeze need to be updated.
What does this mean for B2B companies?
It is easy to be dazzled by agents and demos. But what comes up with virtually every serious HubSpot partner who has analyzed the release is the same thing: do not start by switching on an agent. Start with the foundation.
- Review Context Home first. The automatically generated context is rarely right from the start. If nobody has read through what the portal thinks about your offering, audience and tone of voice, every AI feature will build on wrong assumptions.
- Clean up the data. Agents inherit the problems that already exist in the CRM and make them faster. Duplicates, empty fields and unclear lifecycle stages become more expensive than ever.
- Map your processes. Are your ICP, your qualification criteria and the handover between marketing and sales clear enough for an agent to follow? If people do not agree, an agent will not get it right either.
- Review your integrations. Do you run Make, Zapier or n8n for things HubSpot previously could not handle? With the new triggers in Agent Builder, some of that can be moved into the platform.
- Think about GDPR. Agents that make decisions about individuals, such as which message they should get or how firmly they should be reminded about an invoice, need to be documented and explainable.
Checklist: do this in your portal after the fall release
- Read through Context Home and correct what is wrong or outdated.
- Run a data check of duplicates, empty industry fields and how lifecycle stages are used.
- Update internal documentation that mentions Breeze, Breeze Agents or Breeze Studio.
- Go through Agent Hub and see which agents are available with your licenses.
- Choose a first use case for an agent and test it with approval on everything.
- Review credit usage before you activate more AI features.
- Map external automations in Make, Zapier or n8n that could move into HubSpot.
- Decide on ChatGPT Ads if you already advertise and want to test a new channel.

My conclusion
UNBOUND 2026 was less about individual features and more about a shift in how you work in HubSpot. It is no longer you clicking your way through the tool, but you giving the AI the right input and then reviewing and approving. The companies that win are the ones with their data, context and processes in order.
